I got into college! DePaul University in Chicago was my top choice and I got in! I kinda knew I was going to get it, but I am so relieved to know where I'm going. Now I don't have to worry about applying anywhere else!


On a different note, DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IS SCARY! When I'm president, big trucks and SUV's and Hummers will no longer exist.

There will be an amazing awesome poetry slam this Thursday at 7:00 pm at Santos coffee shop. Open mic sign-ups are at 6:30. I was voted as a member to represent my class with Ariela and Mollie, that's why we are team JAM (Jocelyn, Ariela, Mollie). There will also be another "veteran" team from my poetry class, a team from Adv. Writing, and an Alumni team. It should be very interesting and entertaining, I hope all of you can go, bring friends!


Jocelyn's good deed of the day: I was getting out from the mall and I had a good spot near the food court. I saw two old ladies in a car who couldn't find a spot, and they almost drove past mine. So, I knowcked on their window and told them to back up so they could have my spot. THEN a big ass SUV came and was going to take the spot, but I backed out and blocked them so the old women wouldn't have to walk as far in the cold. I had been in a really bad mood, but felt a lot better after that.


I'm also doing a lot better with getting my gifts! Hopefully they will be enjoyed.

That's right, I've made a community for the grand slammers of HBHS, students and alumni. Why? Because we kick ass at our mad poetry skills, and we all write poetry, so there should be a place where we can collect our pieces of work.

I leave Saturday morning at 7:15 am to head up to Concord. I'll be at TI Summer Program for a week. I'll get back Friday, the 29th, during the day and will spend my day doing laundry. Saturday, the 30th, at 8 am, I will be leaving for Canada with my church for workcamp. I will get back between August 5th-7th (I' not sure exactly when). Feel free to miss me terribly and flood my house with phone calls when i get back asking if I can go everywhere with you. Man, you guys are so greedy, jeez, I'll be back soon enough.

myspace is obnoxious to the max. unless you're a band looking to connect and converse with another band, myspace is the dumbest thing to ever be created. i don't like sounding so pessimistic, especially since all the "hardcore" kids who are "cool" have one. but i'm not saying this to bash them, it just seriously is one of the most pointless things i have ever seen. i don't care what reasons you have to prove me wrong, it's lame. most people do it to post skank-ass pictures of themselves looking STUPID, flirt with WICKED HOT EMO BOYS(...), and to add as many people YOU DON'T KNOW as possible. i bet that if some girls saw all the people they've added in person, they wouldn't remember half of them. my rant was caused my the annoying people i sit with during study. they talk about other being "posers" and bad, fucked up relationships. not relationships with real problems i might add, just whiny "i can't believe he didn't call me last night!" type things. i'm so glad it's almost summer...

anyone who is reading this, ariela, julia, ashley, a secret special personwho is here for a limited time only, and i will be at Nichol's field. bring a flashlight, a frisbee, and a smile! oh, it's be after 9:30 and if we're not there, we're at ariela's house, so come by!

wow, i'm in sydney australia and i'm having a BLAST! why i'm wasting a second online is beyond me, oh well. there is a shit load of hot metro-sexual men EVERYWHERE! omg, i'm moving here. i've been here three days but it feels like weeks. the plane ride was long and boring but i'm making up for it! i won't be checking my mail for a while, nor this. but i thought id be a bitch and rub it in peoples faces that i was having so much fun. but i do miss my friends, everything here is so beautiful, i wish they could see it. i might send postcards, but if i don't, it's because i'm cheap and lazy. i've been in the water, boats, shopping, eating, and exploring everything. it's awesome!
